Drew... questions about Read Alouds

Now... I know I have only seen the 'rough' version of the book... but I was browsing it the other day while waiting for the real thing to get sent out ;)
Anyway... you speak of reading aloud to the kids. I wondered a couple of things...

Does the 2 hour read aloud time include all the readings you might do during the lessons... i.e. for AMS and CCS?

Should we read the core books *during* specific lessons, once a week, or free-floating daily?

Thanks!

The final version of the book...

does give specifics about this, but for the primary grades, the read-alouds you do for the various subjects are included in the day's total. In the later grades, I suggest that kids have a certain amount of "free reading" every day in addition to the reading done during formal lessons. Even then, you can be flexible about how you schedule reading time, particularly if you're homeschooling more than one or two children.

For little ones, you can certainly read the core books during weekly lesson times, but also feel free to re-read fables, fairy tales, and the like at other times - bedtime, family read-aloud time. The stories for these three years are the sort you can't read too often. Well, from a parent's perspective, maybe you can! ;) But for the kids, it's "again, again!"

RFLOL I have had many of the 'oh no not again' moments. Unfortunately, it is usually for the junkiest book in our stash... and NOT one of the lovely fairy tales... you see, I LOVE fairy tales ;)

Thanks Drew :D... I just wanted to clarify this for myself. While I wait on your book that is.
