Ave!
These boards seem pretty quiet, based on the last posting date for most threads, but I'm going to say hello anyway.
My wife and I have just started homeschooling our oldest boy, who is four-and-a-half. I'm very intrigued by the LCC, having learned of it through the Memoria Press website.
We live in North Texas, near Dallas, in the U.S. I'm not sure what else to say, other than "hello, is anyone out there?"
I hope to meet some of you soon.

waiting in hope...
Amanda,
I have the distinct impression that most have moved on from the board, although Drew can confirm/deny that based on login & usage statistics. Between the Yahoo Group and more populous boards (like the Well Trained Mind forum) most of what would be discussed here seems to end up over there.
I hope that things do liven-up around here once LCC2 hits the shelves. We've ordered our copy and are eagerly awaiting it.
Pleasure to meet you.

There is a lot of discussion...
on the LatinClassicalEd list, but I do hope more people make use of these boards once the new edition is out. :)

New here, and in NH, too!
Hi Amanda (and everyone else)!
I've just joined the group and I live in NH, also. This is our third year homeschooling and I've been following TWTM. I've been feeling like we are bogged down lately and I'm leaning towards adopting LCC. I have three children--two sons (11 and 9) and a daughter (7).

In NH
Hi Nancy,
I've been loosely following WTM and feel bogged down. I just found out about LCC about a month and a half ago, and ordered it immediately. (I found out about the revision due out shortly thereafter. :o) ) I'm currently trying to plan out next year and am trying to implement more LCC ways. I am anxious to read the revised edition though as some things, like the science recommendations, wouldn't go over well here.
I have 3 children as well--1 daughter (8), and two sons (4 and almost 2). If you don't mind my asking, what part of the state are you in?
Amanda
We're quiet
I think because so many of us are on the list :) But some of us still check these boards occasionally ;)
I just realized (from my signature LOL-- I had to change it) that I have been a member for 2 years!

the List is more active...
I completely agree. But I can't access Yahoo while at work. This forum does not have that impediment. :)
I, too, hope that with the release of the revised LCC text we'll all see some more activity around here.
Hello from Texas!
I see that there are other people on here who are from our area of the States! We live in Wichita Falls, about halfway between DFW and OKC. We have three girls, ages 11, 6 and 4 (grades 6, 1 and pre-K). I have been trying to find other classical educators in our area, but to no avail. Most people around here just think it is too much preparation. We have been following LCC since it came out - seems like forever.

Hi
Hi Chris,
I was wondering the same thing myself, but I hadn't gotten around to posting yet. I have 3 children, the oldest being 8. We live in NH. I just finished reading LCC, and it has definitely given me some things to think about. I'm waiting impatiently for the revised edition to come out. Hopefully, others will start posting again...
