Adults Getting a Classical Education on their own....

Hi, I am wondering if adults can get self educated the Classical way. I will begin homeschooling my elementary age children during the next school year. I want to also get an education on my own. Is that possible? Can I really make my mind more educated. I would also like to learn my math and want to know if you think Ray's Arithmetic works. Thanks.

Of course it is possible! :)

There have been a number of people inspired by this book (and some of the other classical ed books) that have begun to improve upon their education.
You might try to do the high school years from the LCC or follow something like How to Read a Book by Adler.

As for the mathematics, I don't know much about Ray's, but I dont see where it would hurt either :)

Glad I could help :)

There are of course, many such books out there (The Well Educated Mind is another) and they will give you a great grounding in the LITERATURE of a Classical Education, for the Latin and/or Greek, you would have to go and get a program to follow :)
