History study question
Hello Mr Campbell,
I've read and enjoyed The LCC and look forward to implementing it with my children. My question is about the study of history - using Classical Studies as an example, would I be correct in saying that the goal is to study ancient literature but not necessarily who did what, and when?
Kind regards,
Jacqueline.

Both/and
In the grammar school years, the emphasis is on major historical figures ("Famous Men"). The focus switches to literature and philosophy in high school.
Many people do chronological history on a 3- or 4-year rotation but add in Classical Studies as an ongoing subject. Either plan works fine.
