How goes it?
Just wanted to check in with folks who are using a Latin-centered curriculum for the first time this year - how is it going? What's working best for you?

Technically, we still have
Technically, we still have another year until the primary stage begins, but we have been doing some things.
1 - T- is working on a letters book in preparation for phonics. She picks 1 to 2 letters a week. I write it on a page, she attempts to write it also, then looking through magazines she finds 3 upper-case and 3 lower-case letters. I cut them out and we paste them on the page. Then we go over the sounds that letter makes, and I make up silly sentences with words starting with the particuar letter. Since starting this, she's always pointing out letters to me on lots of things--books, boxes, signs, etc.
2 - Stories. Well, we read lots of stories. Some of her favorites are Angelina Ballerina series and My First Little House books. I've been getting some fables from the library and other fairytales. I also found a great Myths and Legends book for young kids at B&N for cheap. The stories are very, VERY short but give the overall gist. Plus they are from Greece, Roman, Norse, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. They are also divided into categories, such as creation, heroes, love, death. We also have another Greek Myths for Children from Usborne that has slightly longer versions of many of these myths.
3 - Math. She loves math workbooks. She went through Singapore Early Bird 1A in 3 days. Taking a bit longer with 1B, but we haven't do any workbooks last week--too busy getting ready for our annual summer party (a bit late this yea).
That's really the only things I sort of focus on--anything else like nature walks, bugs, etc. just occurs.

It goes....
....fairly well. The biggest change for me has been doggedly making sure Latin is getting done every day. I think before reading LCC we enjoyed Latin, but it was more of a hobby. Now we still enjoy it, but are much more aggressive about learning it.
I am wanting to implement much more from LCC, but I had just bought a bunch of school curriculum right before reading it, so now my school supply fund is low and I have to wait until I can buy things that can really jumpstart me in carrying out the LCC. Things like Famous Men of Rome, Copybooks, Christian studies, etc. I am trying to get a few recommendations here and there; I picked up Lamb's Book of Shakespeare the other day, so I will get there eventually. And maybe it's better for us to ease into this instead of blowing full force into it like I want to do. (I am trying to be patient and content with what I have and trying to stay positive, even though I'm chomping at the bit, can you tell? :) )
In the meantime, I just keep re-reading LCC to keep me motivated. I also just started reading "Norms and Nobility", by David Hicks so that should keep me occupied for awhile as well.
I wish these boards were more active. I hang on every word you guys have to say since I am so new to this.
