My head is spinning...
...with an idea and I want you to help me formulate it. Have you ever heard of or used lapbooks to enrich your lessons?
I am beginning to visualize a lapbook for Latin. And for all other areas of study. For Greek Myths, for Fairy Tales, etc.
For the Latin one, you could make lift-the-flaps that have the picture of the vocabulary word on the outside, and the latin word on the inside. You could make a pocket and store vocabulary cards inside for reading students. You could do something similar with the derivatives. You could put a sample of their copywork on display. You could pepper it with facts and trivia about ancient Rome or an illustration of the child's depicting a myth or fairytale they read.
So many possibilities! What are your ideas? I know you have them!

Did anyone
carry through with the Latin lapbook idea? I'd love to see the results!

I love this idea!
I Love this idea! I've seen the books that tell you how to make your own lapbooks but I never did purchace one - but the idea of them sounds really cool and not to also mention that my 6 year old would love them too! You mentioned peppering in "facts and trivia about ancient Rome or an illustration of the child's depicting a myth or fairytale they read" - I'm trying to incorporate her Latin studies with her Classical Roman studies and combining them into one lapbook makes perfect sense to me... I don't have any ideas to expand on as of yet, but thanks for the inspiration!
