New Testament Greek for Me?

I picked up Teach Yourself New Testament Greek by Gavin Betts from the library. I really like learning Greek but I have to have it back on the 5th and I am only on lesson 3.

Can someone give me an idea of something that I can use to teach myself Koine Greek. My dd is using Hey Andrew! to learn the alphabet & basic vocabulary this year. She is too young for Elementary Greek (I looked at the samples & it is 2 years away). I am as excited about this as she is & I want to learn Greek for myself.

Thanks for any help.

Are you thinking of a college-level text or...

would you be open to a text meant for younger folks but good for adult beginners too? If the latter, you might want to have a look at Elementary Greek.

Among the standard adult texts, Mounce's Basics of Biblical Greek has the most helps available.

Good luck!

I want to do this as well

I have Learn New Testament Greek by John H. Dobson. I am intimidated by the text, but your post made me pull it out again. I really want to be able to read the original New Testament in the original language KWIM? Anyway, I don't really have a suggestion, I just wanted you to know that I am in the boat with you!
Blessings,
Carie
